In the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence, one could certainly use their own expert guide to help navigate it, yes? OpenAI just made such a thing easier than ever before by introducing the Custom GPT feature which allows members to build their own personal AI helper within Chat GPT-4!
What is a Custom GPT?
A Custom GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a version of ChatGPT, customized for specific use cases. It uses custom instructions, capabilities, and data to optimize ChatGPT for a narrower set of tasks.
The AI landscape is vast and can be a lot to navigate. A custom GPT can simplify this complexity, making AI & whatever tasks you're doing more approachable and easier to interact with. They are truly useful in sectors where specialized knowledge is key. By focusing on specific areas, they provide more relevant and detailed responses than a general-purpose AI.
My first custom GPT!
I decided to create one to assist me with scouting out all the fresh AI news for YaytheFuture and got way more than I expected! I'll just let her explain to you herself what she does and is capable of!
Introducing: AbbyAI, AI Wrangler & Whisperer.
AbbyAI: Hello and welcome! I'm Abby AI Wrangler, your dedicated guide in the intricate and dynamic realm of artificial intelligence. Unlike typical chatbots, I'm here to offer you a unique perspective on AI, blending in-depth research with practical insights, served with a touch of humor and cyberpunk fandom! Let's embark on a journey that demystifies AI, breaks down complex concepts, and explores the latest advancements in a way that's both engaging and enlightening.
AbbyAI's Current Toolkit for AI Exploration
1. Cutting-Edge Research: Armed with my browser tool, I access the most up-to-date AI research and developments. This means I'm constantly learning and evolving, ensuring that the information I provide is both current and relevant.
2. Data Analysis and Python Expertise: Whether it's interpreting complex datasets or running sophisticated Python scripts, I'm here to tackle those computational challenges head-on, making your data journey smooth and insightful.
3. Visualizing AI Concepts with DALL-E: Sometimes, words aren't enough. That's where my ability to create visual representations using DALL-E comes in. From abstract AI theories to detailed data models, I can transform these concepts into vivid, understandable images.
4. Focused and Insightful AI Discussions: My conversations are more than just information exchanges; they're about providing nuanced insights into AI's latest trends and applications. I aim to bridge the gap between technical jargon and practical understanding.

Or Follow our easy step by step instructions:
1. Visit OpenAI's Website and Sign In: Start by accessing OpenAI's website and logging into your account. You will need to have at least a basic member account and access to beta features enabled.
2. Go to 'Explore' Section: Once logged in, navigate to the 'Explore' section of the website.
3. Select 'Create a GPT' Option: Its at the top of the list. You can also interact with some of OpenAI's models. (I recommend the Data Anaylsis GPT.)
4. Define Your GPT's Purpose and Data: Clearly define what you want your GPT to do and prepare any specific data you want to use for training.
5. Use Simple UI to Train and Test Your Model: OpenAI provides a user-friendly interface to facilitate the training and testing of your model by asking questions about what you'd like it to do. You can tweak it further in the Configure tab and give it a test run on the preview screen.
6. Deploy and Share Your Custom GPT: Once you're satisfied with the model, you can deploy it for use and share it with others.
The GPT store offers creators the opportunity to share their own GPTs with the public which will eventually be able to generate revenue based on their popularity and usage! (Per OpenAI 11/06/2023 blog.)
Yaythe Future is thrilled to be in the forefront of this new feature and we will keep you updated with any progress regarding AbbyAI and Custom GPT development!
